What applies to our everyday account, holds up for investing: Welcome to clear, favourable conditions. There are no custody account fees with us, which is advantageous if you want to hold your shares for longer. For Swiss shares and all ETFs you pay 0.5% of the purchase or sale price per transaction, for international shares the fee is 1.0%, with a minimum trading fee of 1 CHF per trade outside the investment plan – there are no additional fees for currency exchange.

Set up your individual investment plan: Choose up to three shares or ETFs from the neon invest universe and set the monthly amount you want to invest. That's all there is to it. We then take care of the automatic investing. As usual, all this is available at low cost. And we’ll do you one better: thanks to our partner offers, you don't pay any trading fees when you buy selected assets.

Frequently asked questions about neon invest

What fees do I pay when I invest?

There are no custody fees with us, which is advantageous if you want to hold the shares and ETFs for longer. For all ETFs and Swiss shares, you pay 0.5% of the purchase or sale price per transaction, for international shares the fee is 1.0% – there are no additional fees for currency exchange.

In addition, each spurchase/sale is subject to the mandatory Swiss stamp duty – for Swiss shares and ETFs you pay 0.075% stamp duty and 0.150% for foreign securities.

And finally, there is a minimum fee of 1 CHF for trades outside of the neon investment plan.

Which investment products can I trade with neon?

We offer you a large selection of the most traded shares in Switzerland and the world as well as the most important ETFs. You can find a list here.

We regularly add new shares and ETFs to neon Invest. In doing so, we take into account the wishes of our users. You can use this form to let us know which assets you would like to trade via neon.

Where are my investments traded?

Your shares and ETFs are traded on the BX Swiss exchange, formerly the Bern stock exchange.

Is it possible to transfer securities from another bank to neon?

For technical reasons, we are currently unable to process portfolio transfers from another bank to neon. However, to enable you to make the switch, we are offering you a discount of 2/3 of the purchase fees (excluding stamp duty) if you sell your portfolio and reinvest with neon. If you are interested, please contact us at trading-support_at_neon-free.ch.

Can I be entered in the shareholder register?

At the moment, we do not offer registration in the shareholder register. Therefore, it is also not possible to participate in a general meeting of a company, and no material/natural dividends (shareholder gifts) can be received. Our offer is currently focused on an investment, and not on further services / activities for you as a shareholder. Thus, also your voting rights are not exercised.
